Dear Pikes Peak State College Faculty and Instructors,
Beginning in Spring 2026, Simple Syllabus will be the required platform for all course syllabus creation and management. This transition will help us provide a more consistent, accessible, and streamlined experience for both instructors and students. Spring 2026 Simple Syllabi will be available for instructors once D2L course shells are released on December 16th. Instructors must be assigned to the D2L course shell before they are assigned to the Simple Syllabi.
Why Simple Syllabus?
Simple Syllabus offers several benefits that will enhance your course preparation and student communication:
Time-Saving Templates: Pre-built templates reduce repetitive work and help you get your syllabus ready faster.
Student-Friendly Format: Clean, mobile-responsive design makes it easy for students to find important information.
Consistency Across Courses: Standardized format helps students navigate syllabi more easily.
Improved Accessibility: Built-in accessibility checker helps ensure all students can access your syllabus.
Important Note: Exceptions will be made for crosslisted courses, where two or more courses are combined into a single D2L course shell. If this applies to you, please reach out to elearning@pikespeak.edu for guidance.
