Simple Syllabus
Simple Syllabus is a new Syllabi tool that will be live in all courses starting in Fall 2025.
Simple Syllabus will be required for all online courses (Home and Pooled Sections) in Fall 2025. All other courses will be optional.
Syllabi should be completed and released to students at least 3 days before the start of term.
We will be providing a couple of training sessions over the Summer and one during Fall PDW on August 12th, from 6PM-7PM. Register for the PDW session on SCHED.

Online Proctoring Tools: Respondus vs. Yuja Verity
A new online proctoring tool, Yuja Verity, will be coming to all D2L courses, all modalities, starting in Fall 2025.
We will continue to have Respondus LockDown Browser & Monitor available for all PPSC Home college courses until July 2026. You should plan to change to Yuja Verity for Summer 2026, so you are not switching proctoring tools mid-term.
There may be opportunities to pilot Yuja Verity in Summer 2025, with more details to come about this new tool soon.
New D2L Quiz Evaluation Experience
There will be a New Quiz Evaluation Experience in D2L MyCourses starting May 15, 2025.
Instructors will see an updated interface, similar to those for D2L Assignments and Discussions, when grading D2L quizzes.
Along with more prominent feedback boxes, this update will allow D2L Rubrics to be tied to Written Response (essay) questions.
Yuja Panorama – Digital Accessibility Checker Tool
Yuja Panorama is a new Digital Accessibility checker tool that was first introduced in Spring 2025. This tool scans all files, assignments, discussions, announcements, and more and will give recommendations on how to make them more accessible. Some issues can be fixed with just one click!
The Yuja Video Editor interface has evolved to be more straightforward and provide more capabilities, such as the ability to blur elements of the screen, add watermarks, add backgrounds, and more.
We will also be hosting a training on Yuja Video during Fall 2025 PDW. RSVP for the training on SCHED.
New Online Tutoring Service for Pooled Sections
Starting in Fall 2025, all Colorado Online Pooled sections will have a link to a new online tutoring service called Net Tutor. The link to this service can be found under the Resources~ link in your D2L course shell.
Essentials of Teaching and Learning Online Boot Camp
While Boot Camp Registration for the SU25 term has passed, Fall 2025 Boot Camp Registration is fast approaching! See our Training page for more information on registration.
